Spring is really here!

The signs:
- This weekend our waffles were topped by fresh maple syrup thanks to our friends Pat and Heather of Little Trickle Farm (mmmm, that sweet smell of boiling sap and woodsmoke!).
- The snow is melting away, slowly but surely, my toddler has gone "swimming" in more than one mud puddle.
- The birds are noisy again.

And, most exciting of all...
We have lambs!
An exciting 12 hours rewarded us with 5 lovely lambs - a set of twins and a set of triplets. Two exceptional ewes are doing an amazing job mothering these adorable little ones.

Here are Wrena's twins, a ram lamb and an ewe lamb, born Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

And here are Whoopi and her triplets, born Thursday, April 10 2014. The black one and the mostly black one are ewe lambs. The one that has more white is a ram lamb. Whoopi had over 19 lbs of baby in her!

We still have 7 ewes to lamb, and I'll be posting more cute pictures, also on our Facebook page.
